Woman’s Program: Reclaiming Wholeness


You are Survivor! That is awesome!

But…. Who the heck are you?

This is a special  program is for women who are survivors sexual abuse.  They have gone through the initial stage recovery; and at the stage where they are at a crossroads with their self-identity. They have identified with their abusive past for so long, that have lost sense of who they truly are. This about personal development, spirituality, overcoming the distortion, lies, and reclaiming  what is rightfully yours as a woman.

Simone is a caring compassionate individual who has made a mission to help those who are in need reassurance, comfort, and support; to grow and blossom as their true selves, live authentically as a spiritual beings unhindered by the challenges that would otherwise take them off track. Simone was born in Edmonton, Alberta in Canada, 1987. At the age of four her family moved to Toronto. From this early age, many had commented about how well she spoke. In the early years of school, Simone discovered that she was artistically creative, enjoyed books and the English language. Aside from these positive endeavors, she found it hard to fit it, be accepted among her peers. Many times she was bullied; verbally abused, neglected and out-casted. This damaged her self-esteem greatly. In her preteen years, Simone was sexually abused by a member in her family. This trauma, of course, created a great disruption within her self-esteem, wellbeing and psyche. Keeping this a secret, pushed Simone deeper into depression; the shame, guilt, inadequacy, feelings of “wrongness”, the loneliness, and the mental, emotional and physical isolation were an unbearable load. She turned to spirituality in desperate need to “fix” herself. Overtime, personal development as well as spirituality, not only became an interest, but a lifeline to her. Singing also became a great refuge, and space for peace and comfort as well. In college she attended an introductory art program, in North York, Canada. She quickly realized that visual arts were no longer what she wanted to do for a living, full-time. There was nothing else she thought she could do. Things became difficult after that. Struggling to find herself, dealing with unresolved trauma, mental and emotional issues; her work life became erratic (unable to hold a job for very long); hopping from one job to the next, proved to be stressful and unsettling. Being employed for long periods of time created great difficulty with, and a dependency on, her family. Her social life began to suffer again, after years of self-sacrifice and codependency had backfired. Her spirituality began to waver as well. One day in 2009, an upheaval occurred; Simone revealed to her family that she was sexually abused. She went to therapy, and began the intense recovery and healing. Continuing to struggle with work/financial issues, loneliness (no friends), and the taboo news broken to her family, was too much. After some years, her hard work paid off; she had done enough personal work and healing on herself to gain true awareness of herself, her journey, life, spirituality, and how it all connected together. She became clear about her purpose and why she is here--- to share what she has learnt; the strength, power, and resiliency of the human spirit. Through the struggles, trauma, and pain, how we to survive it (with sanity intact), and the purpose if it all. Simone has a podcast A Woman’s Guide to Reclaiming Wholeness after Sexual Abuse (a personal development podcast) to help those to uncover their true nature, and recognize to the habits, patterns, and beliefs that result from the trauma. She has written her first book: How the Rift I had with God was Fixed: Changing Perspectives for Those in Despair. A testament to her own growth, learning and healing, from the unfortunate, painful things that kept her in confusion, anger and sadness for a while. She shares the things that she learned from the Higher Power; a paradigm shift in thinking that she then shares with the world. Simone still indulges in her artistic endeavors, the visual arts, and singing. She lives in Toronto, Canada.
